- Optimizing valve and pipeline operations to minimize shore-to-ship measurement discrepancies.
- Applying API standards for oil accounting, focusing on temperature correction and sampling quality.
Course outlines:
- Managing crude oil receiving, tank-to-tank transfer, product blending, and refinery mass balance calculations.
- Tank cleaning, desludging procedures, and implementing Permit to Work (PTW) systems within hazardous areas.
- Advanced manual and automatic gauging for level, temperature, and water interface, including precision sampling techniques.
- Master meters, meter factors, and static/dynamic measurement corrections according to pressure and temperature standards.
- Compliance with storage checklists, confined space safety, oil recovery from sludge, and oil spill contingency planning.
